I urge those reading this blog to go to the site refered to above by J. Wall and really listen to the audio or read the transcript. The blogger has triggered just the reaction that RL has predicted would happen. I NEVER thought I would be defending RL, but read the following quote from the transcrip. Words are RL’s.

“If I refer to Obama the rest of the day as the “Magic Negro,” there will be a number of people in the drive-by media and on left-wing blogs who will credit me for coming up with it and ignore the L.A. Times did it, simply because they can’t be critical of the L.A. Times but they can, obviously, be critical of talk radio. It’s such — something beneath us all.”

I disagree with RL’s clumping all leftists into one big bag of latent racism. David Ereinstein DOES NOT speak for me, nor anyone I know. One idiot does not make a whole polemical movement not characterize an entire politcal party. Each has their idiots, look at James Inhoffe! I don’t blame all Republicans for his divisiveness.

Limbaugh clearly doesn’t support the ideas held in both this song and the article from which he pulls it. He’s berating the left for it’s racist tendencies, and he is sickened by Ehrenstein. Calm down people. Before we go demanding another apology, let’s make sure we have a legitimate claim. Trust, I’m not a huge Limbaugh fan, but the man is innocent of all charges here.
